What does EZ Exchange (or the “Company”) do with your personal information / user data? What are your obligations?
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, share, and protect your personal information including user data. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand what we do. When required by law, we will notify you of any changes to this Privacy Policy.
The types of user data we (or our vendors acting on our behalf) collect may include but may not be limited to the following:
- Name (including Username)
- Passwords
- Addresses
- Email address, Cryptocurrency address, Mailing Address
- Financial Information – complete banking information including bank account and routing numbers and/or credit card numbers that you link to your account when you use the EZ Exchange PLATFORM.
Other personal information you choose to provide
Additionally, EZ Exchange may prevent a person’s identity from being connected with information. Although it will always remain confidential to the public, once we prevent a person’s identity from being connected with information, it belongs to EZ Exchange. Such user data may include:
- User ID picture
- Private blockchain data
If we are unable able to identify a customer, we cannot complete transactions that require identification.
It is the policy of EZ Exchange to request identification from all customers on the EZ Exchange PLATFORM. The information will not be used for marketing purposes if you do not wish to receive marketing messages from EZ Exchange.
When you are no longer a customer of EZ Exchange, we will continue to share your information as described in this notice.
We need to share certain customers’ user data to run EZ Exchange’s everyday business. When you use the EZ Exchange PLATFORM or other services available through EZ Exchange’s website, we automatically collect information from your devices. EZ Exchange also reserves the right and by signing up and/or purchasing tokens, you have authorized EZ Exchange to verify users data or information, as required in accordance with any U.S. or foreign anti-money laundering or similar statutes, and to cooperate with regulatory or enforcement authorities if illegal activity is suspected by an EZ Exchange user.
We reserve the right to request certain information and user data from you in connection with your access and use of the EZ Exchange Platform to comply with applicable U.S. or foreign laws, or requests from a regulator. This includes the right to request you to unlock your ID picture or other similar identifying information for any reason while using the EZ Exchange Platform. As a user of the EZ Exchange Platform, you must comply with such requests. Failure to comply with such requests will result in your account being locked and access denied.
Any misuse of the EZ Exchange Platform for fraudulent or illegal activities will result in your account being locked and access denied.
Public Blockchain
Information on any Public Blockchain belongs to EZ Exchange and is publicly visible.
Information on the Public Blockchain, once recorded, cannot be removed. Such information is immutable and permanent.
Private Blockchain
Information on EZ Exchange’s Private Blockchain belongs to EZ Exchange and is NOT publicly visible.
Information on the EZ Exchange Private Blockchain, once recorded, cannot be voluntarily removed, while it may expire at a given future date.
Cookies
We use cookies – data captured by our server from your Internet browser and returned each time you subsequently access our server – to identify you and track your access to the EZ Exchange servers. You may elect to turn off all cookies through your browser settings and we will not be able to capture this data. If you turn cookies off, your experience with the EZ Exchange Platform may not be as efficient or user friendly as that of a user enabling cookies.
Protecting User Data
We take reasonable steps to protect the security of the user data shared through the EZ Exchange Platform.
Our website and EZ Exchange Platform are scanned regularly for security and other potential vulnerabilities to make your use of the site as secure as possible. We do not, however, assume any responsibility for the data you submit to the EZ Exchange Platform or receive from EZ Exchange. You agree to not hold us and our respective past, present and future employees, officers, directors, contractors, consultants, equity holders, suppliers, vendors, service providers, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, representatives, predecessors, successors and assigns liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as a result of any misappropriation, interception, modification, deletion, destruction or use of information provided through the EZ Exchange Platform.
Sharing
We will only share user information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Third-Parties
All non-public information that we receive regarding current or former users is held in the strictest confidence, and is not disclosed to others outside EZ Exchange except with your consent, as otherwise set forth herein or as required by law. We may disclose some or all of the information we collect, as described above, to certain non-affiliated third-parties such as attorneys, accountants, auditors and persons or entities who assist us in our business or who are assessing our compliance with industry standards, rules and regulations. We may also disclose information to regulators or other governmental entities as permitted or required by law. Your non-public personal information/user data is used only for our business purposes, and we do not sell client information to anyone. At your direction, we may share certain information with related or affiliated entities or third parties who assist us with providing our services including outsourced service providers located outside of the United States. These include but are not limited to, other firms such as accountants, lawyers, financial institutions and bill pay and electronic storage service providers, subject to the obligation of all such third parties not to use or disclose such information for any other purpose. Additionally, third-parties with whom EZ Exchange engages may collect personal data including financial data, and such use is governed by their privacy policy.
Third-Party Payment Processor
We use a third-party payment processor for all payments. EZ Exchange does not store credit card details and instead relies on its third-party payment processor for this. We use a third-party payment processor to process payments made to us. In connection with the processing of such payments, we do not retain any personally identifiable information or any financial information such as credit card numbers. Rather, all such information is provided directly to our third-party processor, whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy.
